GB News descended into chaos this week as one of its programmes was disrupted by an on-air spat between presenter Nana Akua and a guest.
On Tuesday evening, Akua was standing in for Patrick Christys on his show, which featured a panel made up of political commentator Andy Twelves, Tory MP Esther McVey and fellow GB News presenter Will Kingston.
But during the programme, Akua became involved in a heated exchange with Twelves.
At one point in the show, Twelves sarcastically accused Akua of being “anti-free speech” after she criticised the BBC for its Glastonbury coverage last year.

Later in the programme, Akua paused proceedings to tell Twelves “I’m hosting the show.”
Twelves replied: “Are you? I don’t think viewers would’ve caught that from your performance there, your poor hosting skills, you lost control of the panel.”
When Akua asked if the journalist was “quite finished,” he said he wasn’t, prompting Akua to encourage him to say everything he had to say and “purge himself.”
What followed was a tense exchange between the pair, in which Twelves criticised Akua’s hosting skills as she accused him of being rude and asking him whether he was finished.
Twelves started to ask why Akua was allowing this to play out on air, encouraged her to move on and sort out their differences off-air.
“Why are you keeping this going, this is silly, you’re meant to be the chair here, come on,” he said, as Akua told the commentator “don’t disrespect me.”
Sharing the segment on X, some said it was “absolutely deranged” and “unbelievable TV,” with several criticising Akua’s behaviour.
