There was an embarrassing moment for Nigel Farage in Clacton as local shouted endorsements for Count Binface at him.
It’s safe to say Farage probably hasn’t massively enjoyed the last couple of weeks in which he’s been forced to campaign against a man with a bin on his head.
But, of course, given that this entire saga was of his own making, we have no sympathy for the man.

Whilst Farage is all but certain to win by a very healthy margin in Clacton, the last couple of weeks have been something of a humiliation ritual for someone who wants to become the nation’s next prime minister.
The latest awkward moment for Farage came as he was out knocking on doors canvassing for people’s votes.
Footage shared online shows Farage walking from door to door. But some nearby residents decided to let Farage know they had no plans of voting for him.
Voices appearing to come from those holding the camera are heard chanting “Binface, Binface” at Farage.
They also shout “vote Binface” and “bin for the win” at the Reform leader.
Take a watch of the moment below.
Some said the moment was the latest incident proving just how embarrassing the whole by-election has been for Farage, and wondered if he would ever truly recover from this circus.
Voters will go to the polls in Clacton on Thursday, August 13.
