Count Binface has secured his best ever election performance after finishing second in the Clacton by-election.

The intergalactic space warrior claimed a remarkable 9,455 votes in Clacton, representing over a quarter of votes.

The winning candidate, who did not turn up for the result declaration overnight, won with a majority of just under 13,000, claiming 62.8% of the vote.

Finishing third out of the record 34 candidates standing was Rejoin EU’s John Stevens, with 492 votes (1.4%).

In a video after the result was announced, Count Binface celebrated the fact he had come first out of the candidates who “bothered to turn up for the results.”

He said: “9,455 actual votes, just eight weeks ago in Makerfield I got 95. That means I got against Nigel Farage 10,000% more votes than I got against Andy Burnham.

“What does that tell you? Well, it tells you that Nigel, who said he didn’t want to be humiliated, maybe has been.”

Count Binface said he was “over the moon” that over one in four people Clacton would rather have him as their MP than the leader of Reform UK.
