Tomorrow, voters will go to the polls to decide if they want to send Nigel Farage back to Parliament or if they’d rather be represented by the people’s champion, Count Binface.
Be in no doubt about it, Farage is almost certain to win. Yes, despite policies we can all get behind such as capping the price of 99-flakes at 99p and vowing not to accept £5m gifts from crypto billionaires, it looks like Count Binface is set to fall to a heroic defeat in Clacton.
The Count is polling to win about 20% of the vote in the Essex town, far behind the predicted 70% for Farage.
But, let’s not forget, this is about as solid home turf for Farage as he could get. There’s a reason he picked Clacton to stand in in 2024 – it’s some of the most fertile ground for Reform in the entire country.

This is shown most starkly when you check how the Reform leader would fare against Count Binface if the entire country could vote.
The answer? It’s more worrying polling for Farage and Reform.
New polling from More in Common has found that in a head-to-head contest, Count Binface would win 37% of the vote, five points more than Farage.
The group most likely to back Binface in this hypothetical scenario are Green Party voters, with almost two-thirds (62%) saying they would vote for the Count.
They’re followed by Lib Dem (56%) and Labour (54%) voters. Meanwhile, over half of Tories (53%) would decide that Farage is the man for them.
Perhaps most surprisingly though, almost one-in-10 Reform voters (8%) said they would rebel against Farage and vote for Count Binface, whilst five per cent said they didn’t know who they would vote for.
It is tomorrow, Thursday August 13th, that voters will go to the polls in Clacton to elect their new MP.
