Nigel Farage has had a tricky week with the media, who have really started taking the Reform leader to task over the secret £5m he received from a crypto billionaire.

From the BBC to LBC, and even on usual home turf of GB News and Talk, the Reform leader was taken to task over the £5m gift he received from crypto billionaire Christopher Harborne in 2024.

One person who has had Farage’s number for years is James O’Brien.

This week, the LBC presenter took aim at the Clacton MP for his claims that he is the ‘most attacked politician in the UK.’

But ever since Farage burst onto the political scene with his anti-EU sentiment as UKIP leader, O’Brien hasn’t shied away from giving the politician a grilling and calling him out.

On the week that marked ten years since the Brexit vote, a 2014 interview between Farage and O’Brien was reshared on social media.

In the interview, O’Brien challenges Farage over some of the controversies surrounding UKIP candidates and councillors, the party which Farage ran at the time.

O’Brien then moves onto comments Farage had made about immigration. This included being uncomfortable hearing foreign languages spoken on the train and whether or not he would have any issues with Romanian men moving in next door to him.

Over the course of the 20 minute conversation, O’Brien challenges Farage on his claims and arguments and calls out the divisive rhetoric which is still such a key part of the Reform leader’s act today.

In the end, Farage’s press spokesman steps in to halt the interview.

Sharing the post on X, one person said it was a “masterclass in how to flush a turd down the toilet.”

Full disclosure 😁I don't really listen to JOB anymore
but I know it's an old one and it's James o brexit
But if you haven't seen it and you want to see a masterclass in how to flush a turd down the toilet @Nigel_Farage 👇 pic.twitter.com/TQ3LYvfhmT

Several agreed with this, and noticed how similar some of the themes are to today.

Well worth a listen, same old Farage different brand, same old 💩

Farage has not been interviewed by O’Brien since then.
