A clear majority of Londoners would vote to rejoin the European Union if a referendum was held tomorrow, a new survey has found.
By now, absolutely everyone knows Brexit has been a socio-economic disaster for Britain. The evidence and stats are undeniable and even former Brexiteers admit it’s been a failure.
Since Labour returned to power in 2024, they have made efforts to repair the UK’s relationship with the EU. But during his time as prime minister, Keir Starmer stopped short of saying he would ever look to reverse Brexit.

Andy Burnham’s ascension to Labour leader and prime minister has only given more momentum to these calls, given that it was less than a year ago that the Makerfield MP was saying he wanted to see Brexit reversed in his lifetime.
Senior Labour figures have also calling on the party to do more to take the country back into the EU.
One of the most vocal figures calling for a return to the EU is London mayor Sadiq Khan – and it sounds like most of the capital is in agreement with him.
New polling carried out by Savanta UK for the Mile End Institute, Queen Mary University of London has found that two thirds (67%) of Londoners would vote to rejoin the EU if a referendum was held tomorrow.
This number rises to a remarkable 85% for those aged 18-34, the Standard reports.
Overall, Londoners are more pro-EU now than they were back in 2016, when 60% of the capital voted remain.
