He might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but Piers Morgan sees the reality facing Nigel Farage and Reform. Speaking on Sunday, the veteran journalist and broadcaster laid into the chief Brexiteer, and predicted that his time as the party leader would soon come to an end.

Why Nigel Farage is facing an existential crisis
Despite riding high in the opinion polls for the past year, Mr. Farage has been plagued by clouds of scandal. His relationship with Nathan Gill, who was jailed for his collusion with Russia, and accusations of racism while he was a student have been particularly damaging for the 61-year-old.
However, no saga has rattled him more than this latest one. His acceptance of a £5 million donation from a crypto billionaire based in Thailand has been a story that simply won’t relent – and his reaction to the media coverage has only exacerbated the interest.
When questioned about the donation, which was never declared to Parliament, Nigel Farage has gone from evading an answer, to saying he could use the money for anything he wants – including the purchase of a Ferrari. It hasn’t landed well, and his back is firmly against the wall.
‘He will have to go’ – Piers Morgan
It’s something Piers Morgan has taken note of. While appearing on the BBC yesterday, he accused Farage of ‘not being able to get his story straight’, laughing at attempts to portray himself as a ‘man of the people’. With a Parliamentary investigation looming, Morgan reckons the goose has been cooked.
“I think Nigel Farage is dead in the water. This £5 million bung he took from this crypto tycoon in Thailand – he still can’t get his story straight about why he took this money. Originally it was for personal security, then it was a reward for Brexit. Now he says it’s just a gift and he can spend it on Ferraris.”
“Isn’t that what all men of the people would say? You can see how rattled he is by these questions. I think he will be found guilty by the Parliamentary investigation. Reform are in real trouble, I think their leader will have to go. We’ve already seen them eating each other alive.” | Nigel Farage
